Sometimes you find your dream in the last place you’d ever look …
Twenty-nine-year-old Amanda Monroe is about to make her white picket fence fantasy come true. The New York actress plans to wrap her supporting role on a hit sitcom, marry the non-actor of her dreams, and put down the roots she’s always wanted—all before she turns thirty.
But first, she must endure another pressing engagement: filming the show’s special episode. It’s bad enough that egotistical star Knightley Stapleton’s prima donna ways keep holding up production. But then two guest stars from the big screen arrive. There’s mischievous leading man Harry Ritter Johnson, who comes to town with more than an enormous entourage. He also has a seductive proposition for Amanda.
With him is sidekick Darrell Rawlings, who also happens to be Amanda’s best male pal. Darrell has wedding plans of his own. Unfortunately, they involve popping the question to his on-again, off-again girlfriend, a bloodthirsty interviewer whose heart every celebrity in town would love to drive a stake through.
If only Amanda didn’t keep forgetting she had a fiancé. And if only her fiancé didn’t pay more attention to his vintage typewriter than he did to his future wife.
Amanda would love to forget the times her friendship with Darrell crossed over into passion. It should be easy since no one else knows about them. But when the old warmth returns and old secrets come to light, Amanda must choose between the life she’s always wanted and an even brighter future.
